Staying at my first resort in october! Have tickets, tours and dining set to go! im still wavering on hotels..currently booked at PO. Single Adult traveling - which hotel in value/mod would you say is the most...quiet. least amount of kids? thank you!

    Erin:

You mentioned you were staying at Port Orleans. Are you staying at Riverside or French Quarter?

If you are staying at the French Quarter, I wouldn't change your reservations!  I've stayed at numerous properties and Port Orleans: French Quarter is probably the most tranquil of all. For a single, adult traveler, it is spot on.  The resort is the smallest on the property and the theming makes you think you're in New Orleans' French Quarter on a Sunday morning in Spring (no one around....).  My husband and I booked a room for our anniversary last September and fell in love with it. I recommend a water view room in Building 6 or 7 (7 is the most remote, but still closer to the main building and bus stop than 75% of all rooms at Riverside, Caribbean Beach Resort, or Coronado Springs).  I was surprised to find kids at the pool in the evenings, but in comparison with every other pool at every other resort, there was hardly the activity--nor the noise--you'd find at any of the Value pools. Additionally, there is boat transportation to Downtown Disney for shopping and nightlife.

A close second would be Coronado Springs. You may meet other single adult travelers during your stay, as there is a Convention Center on property along with a bar and an excellent food court with good variety. The campus is expansive, so I would recommend asking for a room in the Casitas or Cabanas areas on a top floor and in a building close to the Main Building to minimize your walking. The campus is well-lit.

If you want peace and quiet, skip the value resorts and go for the moderate POFQ or Coronado Springs.

    Wishing you a tranquil vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
