Hi, I will be staying a few days at Walt Disney’s all All Star’s resorts this Fall. I would like to know if my family who lives in Florida can come visit me and spend the day with me while I’m at the resort? ( day time only) Can they park at the resort?

Jennifer, hello and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've stopped by to chit-chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation later this fall.

Fall is right around the corner so your most magical vacation has to be coming up quickly. I bet you are getting so excited.

Typically, Jennifer, parking at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels is reserved only for Guests staying at that particular resort or those Guests with a dining reservation at a restaurant located within the resort hotel property. At this time, I would plan on your family not staying at Disney's All-Star Resort with you not being able to park and visit during the day while you are there. When you arrive, you could always double-check with the front desk but I would hate for your family to travel all of that way just to be denied at the security gate.

With that being said, Disney Springs would make a perfect place for a family meet-up. Disney Springs does not cost to enter and in fact, all 3 parking garages are free of charge as well- making it the perfect spot for day Guests like your family members to enjoy. There are plenty of things to do at Disney Springs like shopping, dining and even live music to enjoy throughout the day. It's my favorite place to hang out. The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs is currently my favorite restaurant and can accommodate a lot of people so it would be a perfect place for lunch one afternoon for you and your family. The menu is quite extensive and there is something that will please even the pickiest of eaters. My go-to order right now is the lobster roll served warm with butter and then I always upgrade to the truffle fries. Yum! After lunch, you could all do some shopping around and then grab a sip and a spot to sit to finish the day off with some live music.

I hope this helps give you an idea for a family meet-up while you are at Walt Disney World, Jennifer. If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
