We are staying in a family suite at all star music. How do I opt out of mousekeeping? Can I still have cutlery in the kitchen and toiletries stocked every day? What will mousekeeping not do for our room?

    Welcome Back, Tara!

This is a great question, and is a great option for those who don't spend much time in their Disney Resort Hotel Room. Do note that 'Service Your Way' is still new and that a few Disney Resort hotels are still testing out the best way to do things, so there may be some small details that differ between the various Disney Resort Hotels. So definitely ask about any specific concerns you have before you agree to opt in.

All guests of Disney's Value and Moderate Resort Hotels can decline daily Mousekeeping services in exchange for a Disney e-gift card. Those who wish to participate can opt-in at check-in. (Guests who used online check-in can stop by the Front Desk within a few hours of their arrival and still get in on the offer.) Your gift card will total $10 for every night of your reservation minus one. (The minus one is due to the cleaning your room will receive upon your check-out.) So a five night stay would be a $40 gift card, a seven night stay would be $60, etc. Once you opt in, the total amount of your e-gift card will be sent to the email address on file of the reservation within an hour.

What you're actually agreeing to is no service of any kind for your entire stay. You certainly can place a call to the Front Desk or to the Housekeeping department to request more towels, sheets, kitchen and bath amenities, garbage bags, and anything else you need as you need it throughout your stay.

Some guests have said that Mousekeeping did come into their room every three days to collect any garbage and used towels, while others have said that they've had to call to request those tasks be done. You can also leave it all to be collected on your check-out day.

I hope this helped with your planning, Tara, and We'll See You Real Soon!
