Hi there, Melissa! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for your question. With so much to see and do at
Walt Disney World, you’re in for an amazing trip! If you’re visiting in March, you’ll be there just in time for the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which is a must-see. From the beautiful topiaries to the delicious outdoor kitchens and fun garden-themed activities, this festival brings EPCOT to life in a unique way. Be sure to catch one of the Garden Rocks Concert Series performances while you’re there, too, there’s always something happening!
Now, to answer your question about park tickets: If you purchase your
theme park tickets separately from your
Disney Resorts Collection stay, you’ll be able to choose your start date for those tickets. Once you select your start date, the ticket will be valid for a specific number of days. For example, if you purchase a 4-day park ticket, you’ll have a total of seven days to use those four visits, and they don’t need to be used consecutively. Let’s say you start your tickets on March 1st while staying with family; you’d have until March 7th to use all four park days. This way, you can enjoy the parks with your family before transitioning to your stay at a Disney Resort.
When it comes to booking
Lightning Lane reservations, here’s the breakdown: Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can start making Lightning Lane selections seven days before check-in for the days of their resort stay. For Guests who are not staying on property, you’ll be able to make your selections three days before your first park visit. Since your trip begins with family, you’ll be able to make Lightning Lane selections three days before your first park day. Then, once you transition to your Disney Resort stay, you can begin booking Lightning Lanes seven days before check-in for those park visits.
I hope this helps with your planning, Melissa! If you need any more assistance or have more questions as your trip approaches,
feel free to swing by planDisney again. I’d be happy to share with you which rides I suggest grabbing your three multi pass experiences for!
See you real soon!
