Staying at the DWL with wife and kids in April 2013. Added the dining plan (1 QS + 1 TS meal) for the 4 of us but I'm worried that my son who is 9 (will turn 10 in May) will not have enough food or will get bored with the kid menu choices. Thoughts?

    Hi Craig!

Congratulations on your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! You will absolutely LOVE staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort!

I can assure you that your son will have enough food to eat while on the Disney Dining Plan. If you haven't already made dining reservations, I recommend making them as soon as your 180 days booking window opens up. You can book dining reservations online or by calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE. If you are still more than 180 days away from the start of your vacation, spend some time exploring the restaurants' menus. You'll even find some Quick Service locations sample menus online now.

There are some Table Service dining locations that only have one menu for Guests of all ages. There are several Quick Service dining locations that don't have children's menus either. If your 9 year old son has a voracious appetite, try the Main Street Bakery and Yorkshire County Fish Shop. If he has grown-up tastes, be sure to try Be Our Guest Restaurant for either lunch or dinner. Read more about their menu for children in this recent Disney Parks Blog entry. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Wishing you a most delectable culinary experience at the Walt Disney World Resort!
