Hi! Staying at DWL in October, standard room. 5 of us going...mom, 2 adult daughters, 1 s.i.l. and a 2 yr. old grandson. Budget and comfort are both a concern. Is it worth upgrading to WL Villas Studio? Thanks a lot!!!

    Kalyn,

Personally, for your group I would not recommend a studio.  While you would gain a microwave and toaster, I think you lose more than that.  A bed being the most significant thing.

Studio villas offer a foldout sleeper sofa rather than a second bed, and while this works fine for children, I believe 2 grown adults would be more comfortable in an actual bed.  Also, I feel that the lodge rooms with 2 beds feel more spacious than the studios with the sleeper sofa opened.  We find it to be a tight squeeze to get out onto the balcony unless the sofa is folded daily.  I know that sounds like a minor inconvenience, but I'm lazy on vacation and I don't want to make/unmake a bed every day!

In your lodge room you will still have a mini fridge and a coffee maker, and we usually use these to enjoy breakfast in our room.  This saves us both time and money, which should help you with your budget concerns as well.

    Good luck!
