Do you have to be staying at a DW resort in order to purchase the dining plan? or can you purchase a dining plan and not staying at one of the DW locations?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Fayneshia!

My family loves the Disney Dining Plan! It's a great way to save on your food costs and enjoy some fantastic Disney dining locations while vacationing at Walt Disney World® Resort. To take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan guests must met two criteria:

    1. Be a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel - the dining plan is directly tied to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservation and will include dining credits for each member of your party for your length of stay at that resort.

    2. Guests must add at least a one-day theme park ticket to their reservation. While you do not need theme park tickets for every day, you must purchase at least a one-day ticket when you book to add the dining plan to your reservation.

I hope this helps answer your question, Fayneshia. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any additional questions you may have.
