We will be staying at a DVC two bedroom villa at Kidani at the end of July are we able to bring an electric skillet?

    Jambo, Kevin!

Welcome to planDisney! Asante sana (that means "thank you very much" in Swahili) for trekking by with your question. How exciting that you will be immersed in the spectacular theming of Disney's Animal Kingdom - Kidani Village for your upcoming vacation. One of my favorite things about staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel is that you are transported to whole new worlds, each and every time.

Kevin, since you will be in a two-bedroom Villa, you will have a full-sized kitchen, including pots and pans, an oven and stovetop, a microwave, a full-sized fridge, and of course, gadgets and gizmos aplenty.  Unfortunately, Guests are not permitted to bring in their own appliances, such as an electric skillet. This is for the safety of all Guests at the hotel, as only appliances provided by Disney are allowed. You can call down to Guest Services from your room phone and ask if they have an electric skillet they could bring to your room.  While I am unsure if they have this appliance available, I know that they can bring blenders, microwaves, coffee pots, etc., pending availability.  That would be my recommendation if you would like to have an electric skillet in your room.

Now, if you need any more supplies for your room, such as additional coffee, towels, blankets, etc., you can use the "Hey Disney" tool in your Villa. You'll recognize it as the electronic with Mickey ears. Whether you need additional room supplies, the hours of the theme parks, or a wake-up message from one of your favorite Disney friends, this device does it all. All you have to do is say, "Hey Disney! Show me what you can do!"

One other tip for you, Kevin, is that there are barbecue grills at Kidani which are available for Guests' use. My husband just can't wait to be king of the grill after we have enjoyed a fun Disney day at the Resort watering hole (a.k.a. the pool).   It's a great way to spend family time after the kids have been free to run around all day.

If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, journey back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you. I'll be right here working on my roar!

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
