Staying with DVC points. If I buy my tickets from somewhere else, can they be added to my key to the world upon arrival? Or will I have to carry around two cards for the entire trip? Thanks for your help!

Howdy Elizabeth!  Thanks so much for your question!

I checked with a Cast Member and confirmed that if a Guest is staying with Disney Vacation Club points and tickets are bought somewhere else, the tickets cannot be added to the Key To The World card. Disney can only verify ticket authenticity when purchased directly from Walt Disney World.  Because of this, the tickets will not be able to be linked to the MagicBand either.

We have had Annual Passes for the past few years which has meant carrying around multiple cards.  It is really not that much of an inconvenience.  After a day or so, you won't even think about it.  Further, depending on when the MagicBand is available for all Guests, you may not have the Key To The World card during your next vacation.  Stay tuned for more details.

Thanks so much for your question and please let me know if you need further information.

    Have a magical day!
