We are staying on DVC membership and buying the meal plan. Can I buy the meal plan for my son who turns 3 after the trip and not buy a park pass?

Howdy Denise!  This is a great question and a fantastic idea but, I'm sorry to report, the answer is no.

I checked in the 2013 Disney Vacation Club Dining Plan brochure and confirmed with a Cast Member.  Unfortunately, no one under the age of 3 is allowed to purchase a dining plan and everyone 3 and over must have a pass to enter the parks.

However, your son can eat off of your plate or you can purchase food separately for him if needed.

We travelled many times when our children were not yet three and had no issues...but neither of our kiddos are big eaters.

Sorry I don't have better news for you but I am excited for you about your upcoming trip and I hope you enjoy every minute of your family vacation!.

Please let me know if you need any further information and have a magical day.
