Mom And Daughter Vero Beach Poolside

    If I am staying at the DVC Grand Floridaian in June for 10 days, can we take a road trip to Vero Beach and spend a day at their pool and enjoying the beach front

    Hi John,

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  What a great idea - to take a road trip from Walt Disney World to Vero Beach, and spend some time at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

    I spoke with cast members both at Disney Vacation Club Member Services and at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.  They both felt that since Disney's Vero Beach Resort is included in Pool Hopping, assuming that you are a Disney Vacation Club Member staying on a Disney Vacation Club reservation at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you should be able to "pool hop" all the way to Disney's Vero Beach Resort!  The cast member at Disney's Vero Beach Resort also said that he believed that you would be able to use the beach there as well.  The one caveat is that you cannot do this during any pool hopping blackout dates, when pool hopping is not available to guests due to anticipated high occupancy.  In June 2014, pool hopping is not allowed from June 28 - June 30.  Also, please be aware that pool hopping may be temporarily unavailable due to capacity restrictions.  For more information on the pool hopping perk, you can visit the Disney Vacation Club Member website.  Once you log on, select "Membership Magic" and choose "Perks" from the drop down menu.  Then click on "Recreation & Relaxation" to find information about pool hopping.
