Hey Christine!
Welcome Home and welcome to
planDisney!
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are my absolute favorite! I have my first stay coming up in a couple of weeks after over a year and I am so excited to get back to the craftsman style elegance throughout the hotel. Even though Disney Vacation Club offers so many amazing resorts in their collection, I feel the most at home at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. If you haven’t already, make sure you grab a
dining reservation at one of the amazing restaurants on property. I’m hoping to try the breakfast at
Storytellers Café on my next visit. I’ve seen some pictures of the new menu items and they look amazing!
I see that you love to rope drop as much as I do. I always recommend getting to the theme parks right at opening because you can get so much done in those first few hours. In the past, I would also have recommended using the main front gates because they usually allow guests to enter the parks early and wait inside the park before the opening time. This gives you a bit of a head start as the entrance in the hotel usually opens right at the opening time for the day.
If you can get to the main entrance gates early this would still be my recommendation. Otherwise I’d recommend using the hotel entrance for this trip. The reason is that to promote social distancing, they are only allowing a certain number of guests in the Esplanade at this time. The lines then overflow to the tram drop off area across from World of Disney. So if you can get to the front gates before the overflow, that would be my recommendation. Otherwise use the hotel entrance.
Well Christine, I hope you and the rest of your group have a great time!
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
