Hi Alisa, welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with a Disney Vacation Club question about
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - A Disney Vacation Club Resort. You must be looking forward to staying at the brand new DVC Cabins - I know I can't wait for my family to stay here next summer! I enjoyed staying at the Cabins a few years ago and am curious to see everything new.
You’ll be among the first
Disney Vacation Club Members to experience The Cabins - how exciting is that? Nestled in a serene woodland setting just off the shores of Bay Lake, these cabins offer a perfect retreat where nature is right outside your door. While The Cabins don’t include access to a Fitness Center, there are plenty of ways to stay active during your stay. The resort features two inviting
swimming pools: the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool, complete with a waterslide and whirlpool spa, and the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, a quiet, all-ages pool with a whirlpool spa.
For those looking to keep moving, the options are endless. Explore picturesque jogging trails that weave through meadows and pine groves, play a game of beach volleyball at the Meadow Recreation Area, shoot some hoops,
kayak or
canoe along tranquil waterways, or rent a bike and ride through the scenic landscape while spotting local wildlife. There’s no shortage of ways to stay active while enjoying the beauty of this unique resort.
Since you're staying so close, you may want to check out
Tri-Circle D Ranch - home to more than 90 horses you may see around the resort (these include Cinderella's Ponies and the horses of Main Street, U.S.A). Guests can visit the horses between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
I hope this information helps with your planning, Alisa. Please come back to
planDisney if you have any DVC or vacation planning questions, we are happy to help!
Welcome Home,
Candace
