Hello there, Dan. Welcome to
planDisney.
It seems to me like you are off to a great start of planning a trip to the
Most Magical Place On Earth, Dan. Let's see - you have your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, your
Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets and
park pass reservations. That's great!
Next on the to-do list is dining reservations. Dan, advanced dining reservations can be made 60 days prior to your check-in day for the length of your stay up to 10 days. To figure out when your dining reservation day is you can simply put "60 days prior to October 17, 2022" or whatever your check-in day might be into your internet search bar. The computer will do the work for you and you should see what day you'll need to be up and at em'. Dan, to make dining reservations on that day, you have two options. You can make them online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time via your
MyDisneyExperience account or you can make them over the phone with a Cast Member by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. I would suggest giving it a go online because some of the best places do tend to fill up quite quickly.
Now that you have some time to think about where you would like to dine, I have some suggestions. Right now, my favorite spot is
The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. It's set right on the lake and provides stunning views as the sun goes down over the lake. The menu is quite extensive and their specialty is seafood and steak but there is something on the menu for everyone. My go-to order right now is the lobster roll served warm with butter. I also always upgrade my side item to the truffle fries. They are the star of the meal! Yum. I love their cocktails and wine list and the key lime pie in a jar for dessert is 10 out of 10. Another favorite restaurant of mine is
Steakhouse 71 located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner but dinner is my favorite there. In fact, I've had every menu item (yes, I was very full) and it was all delicious. If you are a macaroni and cheese fan, this is the spot!
I hope this helps, Dan. If you have other questions while you plan your Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Happy planning!
