Staying @Dolphin for our 25th Ann. in Dec. I am confused about resort fees. I booked through Disney and I read this included the daily resort fees. I linked to my Bonvoy rewards & it says there is a dailyfee? Will I have to give them a CC at checkin?

Welcome back to planDisney, Shannon! I'm so glad you visited us again and asked this question. I'm happy to hear you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation planned for later this year!

The Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is one of my family's favorite Disney Resort Hotels to stay at when we visit! There is a daily resort fee associated with this resort whether you book through the Walt Disney World Resort or directly with Marriott. When you make a hotel reservation on the Walt Disney World website, the daily resort fee is still charged but is included in the total. When you reserve a room directly through Marriott, the daily resort fee is listed as a separate charge. The resort fee covers daily in-room wireless internet, bottled water, use of the hotel's fitness club, and complimentary Swan Paddleboat rentals.

I'm also a Bonvoy Rewards member and like to use points on occasion to reserve a room. If you happen to use points for your stay, the resort fee should be waived for those nights. On a recent stay, I used points and upon checkout, I noticed I had been charged the resort fee. I stopped by the front desk before I left and a Cast Member removed the charge and credited my credit card. You will be required to provide a credit card for incidentals, even when using points.

A 25th anniversary is such a great reason to celebrate at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you are hoping to have a special meal, you can make advanced dining reservations up to 60 days before your arrival date. Be sure to also make theme park reservations for each day that you would like to visit a theme park.

Wishing you a magical vacation and many more years of Happily Ever After! If you have additional questions as you are planning your celebration, please visit us again at planDisney. We would love to help!

    Smiles,
