Hi, I am staying at Disney's all star movies resort for one night and I am arriving very late then taking a cruise the next day. How will I know what time I need to be ready and when should I have my luggage ready to go?

Ahoy, Chelsea! Welcome back to planDisney! A spring cruise aboard the Disney Wish sounds amazing! It was a smart decision to arrive the night before your sailing. I’m happy to help set your final plans in motion.

You’ll receive an email 24 to 48 hours before embarkation detailing your motorcoach departure time and meeting location. I’d stop by the front desk when you arrive at your resort if you haven’t received an email. Motorcoach transportation begins at approximately 8:30 a.m. The exact time is based on how many people need to be picked up. Bell Services will start collecting luggage in the morning – don’t forget to attach your Disney Cruise Line Luggage Tags. The next time you see your bags will be in your stateroom. My family likes to pack our swimsuits in our carry-on bags so that we can enjoy an uncrowded pool after exploring the ship. Don’t forget to keep your photo ID, proof of citizenship, and any medications you might need with you as well. A Disney Cruise Line Representative will be available to answer any last-minute questions on your departure day.

Chelsea, I recommend downloading the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to your mobile device before you set sail. I like to watch the clock tick down each day in anticipation of my cruise. Once you are on board and connected to the ship’s wi-fi, you’ll see all the activities offered on your sailing. I especially like the deck plans and the dining room menus. My husband thinks it’s silly, but I usually spend a few minutes each evening viewing the menus and planning what I will eat the next day. What can I say? I love all the food on board!

I hope this information helps as you get ready for your adventure at sea! If you’re looking for advice about Port Adventures, the youth clubs, or ideas on what to pack, my friends at planDisney are ready to help! Just sail back by with your questions.

Ahoy! Just like Moana, I feel the irresistible call of the sea. I think the best vacation is aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship – thankfully, my family agrees. Whether savoring gelato in Italy, snorkeling in Mexico, or basking in the sea breeze on deck, each destination fills us with memories to last a lifetime. I look forward to helping your family plan a Disney Cruise Line adventure brimming with cherished moments!
