Hello, we are staying at Disneys Pop Century resort from 31st October for 2 weeks. How can I contact the hotel to request a certain area for our room?

    Greetings Sheron, welcome to planDisney!

When my children were younger, early November was the timeframe my family always visited Walt Disney World.  The weather was perfect with very little rain and the crowds were manageable.  I love that you are staying at my favorite value resort hotel - Disney's Pop Century Resort.  Direct access to the Disney Skyliner makes traveling to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT very easy.  You seem to be planning my perfect Walt Disney World vacation!

Depending on what type of room request you have, you may be able to take advantage of Online Check-In.  Currently, the choices for room requests for Disney's Pop Century are ground floor, king bed, 50s section, and 70s section.  If any of those happen to be your desired room request (you can select two), then you can certainly take advantage of Online Check-In using your My Disney Experience app.  Otherwise, you can contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to speak to a cast member directly with your requests.  Please note that room requests are not guaranteed but the cast members will do whatever they can to accommodate your request.  However, if you are assigned a room that you are not happy with, I would suggest speaking with a cast member at the front desk to see if there is an opportunity for you to switch rooms during your stay.

Sheron, your vacation will be during the time Walt Disney World transitions from Halloween to holiday decorations.  That means the gingerbread house will be constructed in early November at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  I always find the building of the gingerbread house fascinating.  Although I haven't seen an announcement on when it will open this year, last year's opening date was officially announced to be November 9.  Hopefully, the timeframe will be the same this year so that you can enjoy some gingerbread goodies!

    Have a magical vacation!
