We will be staying at Disney's Kidani Resort in August and have a meal plan during our three-day stay. What are some suggested restaurants we should consider? Buffet style preferred since we are traveling with 3 finicky teenagers.

Hello or should I say "Jambo" Charisse and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I absolutely adore staying within the beautifully African themed surroundings of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and just know that you and your whole family are going to fall in love with it too this coming August.
As the parent of 4 children (with 2 still being in their med-teens!) I can totally relate to your great question about the challenge of feeding finicky eaters when on a family vacation at Walt Disney World Resort.  Firstly, you've certainly made a super choice by opting to include a Disney Dining Plan in your reservation as this works so well for my own family as it truly does provide the freedom to choose to dine in 100+ dining locations across Disney property.
Here just for you are my top 3 buffet or family style dining suggestions -
Trail's End Restaurant at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a must-do for us as it serves up a bounteous menu which includes family favourites such as fried chicken & smoked pork ribs.
    - Right on your door step is Boma - Flavors of Africa which although sounds exotic also serves a selection of family dishes including delicious roasted meats and be sure not to miss the famous Zebra Domes for dessert.
And Cape May Cafe is certainly the place for plentiful seafood inspired dinner!
