Hi! Staying at Disney's Hilton Head Resort the end os Aug. Don't see much info from ppl who have stayed there. Any things we should know or do? Our kids will be 5 and 3. Looking for any helpful hints. Thanks!

    Hello, Bonnie!

You'll really love your stay at Disney's Hilton Head Resort!  The atmosphere is so laid back, with just enough Disney flair to remind you why you chose that property for your vacation!  From the architecture, to the Cast Members, to the level of service you'll receive...it's all filled with Disney magic!

When we stayed at HHI, we really loved a dolphin excursion we booked through the resort.  This trip took our family plus another family on a small, low boat (a Kodiak) which was fun all by itself. However, the excitement picked up when we were soon surrounded by dozens of dolphins, who did all they could to draw attention to themselves. It was amazing, and we all remember that cruise...even the little one!

Our kids also really enjoyed the arts and craft activities at Community Hall, and we often scheduled our day according to when they wanted to be back for the next project. If you haven't yet reviewed the list of activities at HHI, check out Disney's HIlton Head Island's link for activities, golf and excursions.  You may find some activities listed that are perfect for your family!  (By the way, you might want to set aside some time for the Big Dipper pool and slide...our kids couldn't get enough time there!)

A great place to dine and browse along the waterfront is South Beach Marina Village, in Sea Pines...not too far from Disney's HHI. For a small entrance fee ($5 at the time of this writing) you get access to shops, restaurants and some really lovely views of the waterfront, too.

Please send another question, letting me know if you are Disney Vacation Club Members or not; I'd love to send you more information and links, based on what your status is.  Either way, you're in for a relaxing yet exciting retreat in August!
