We are staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Cabins and will be taking the boat over to MK. How long is the boat ride and how often does it shuttle back and forth?

Hi Tiffany! You will be staying in the most peaceful and unique of Disney properties and the place we call home now on our visits!

If you are in a cabin you can hop on any of the internal buses that will drop you off just outside of Pioneer Hall. It is then a short walk to the marina where you will find a boat to the Magic Kingdom on the left or a smaller boat to the Contemporary and Wilderness Resorts on the right. Both routes will run just like a bus and will leave every 15-20 minutes or sooner. Once on the Magic Kingdom boat relax and enjoy the ride and you will be at the park in about 10-12 minutes. To top this boat ride off is the fact that you will arrive directly in front of the Magic Kingdom entrance and you have a shorter walk then anyone arriving by bus, ferry, or monorail! It is nice at the end of the day when you are tired and only have a few short steps to your resort transportation!

I hope you enjoy your Fort Wilderness stay. Take walks around and you might be lucky to spot the resident deer or turkey or the armadillos. And don't forget to take in Chip and Dales Campfire Singalong one evening to toast marshmallows, sing, dance, and watch a Disney movie!
