Staying at Disneys Coronado springs hotel. I read somewhere that the reception on entering hotel check in expects to card swipe $100 a day room key credit to use on Disney parks, is this right? 7 days a swipe of $700? Is this mandatory credit charge?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Lorraine!

Welcome to planDisney! We are delighted you stopped by, and we are so excited to help you plan your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! We know you are going to have the most MAGICAL time ever! Oh, and Mickey and Minnie just told me to tell you they can't WAIT to see you real soon!

First of all, you are going to love staying at Coronado Springs! I have had the privilege of staying here several times, and this might be one of my favorite Disney Resorts. This is an absolutely beautiful property, but be aware it is a very large property. I would recommend staying in the Gran Destino Tower. It is centrally located close to many of the restaurants and incredible amenities this resort has to offer.

So, are you ready for some TIGGER-ific news? I want to let you know that your credit card will not be charged $100 a day for your length of stay. I spoke to a very helpful Cast Member, and he said that your credit card could be charged $150 total for incidental fees. If those fees during the trip do not meet $150, the resort will then return that money to your credit card. I would also suggest verifying this information with a Cast Member when you check-in.

I sure hope this information helps you in your planning! If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask! We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
