We are staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort - whats the best way to get to the Contemporary Resort to have a meal at Chef Mickey's? We have 3 kids...6, 4 and 1 (in a stroller).

    Hi, there!

Kate, I'm so happy to hear you'll be traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort just after the new year. What a magical way to kick off 2020 with your family!

You and your crew are going to love staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. It's one of my family's favorites! We love the laidback island vibe and the lush landscaping. It's such a nice contrast to all the pixie-dusted adventures we experience in the theme parks!

A meal at Chef Mickey's is an absolute must-do for my family when we're at the Walt Disney World Resort. It's become our yearly tradition! You have lots of options to get your family of five to a dining reservation at Chef Mickey's. We usually take a bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then either walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort or hop on the Resort Monorail line for a quick ride. We've also used Disney's Minnie Van service to get us to our reservation on time. This fabulous service works great for my family of five because my oldest kiddo is out of a car seat. If all three of your kids need car seats, though,  this isn't a good option because Minnie Vans only carry two car seats per vehicle. Another option is to take the new Disney Skyliner from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to Epcot where you can catch the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center before hopping on the Resort Monorail. This option requires quite a few transfers, but if your kids are as adventurous as mine, they'll love it!

You mention that your youngest will be in a stroller - total necessity. As a mom of three, I recommend traveling with a double stroller. Exploring the theme parks requires a lot of walking and little legs tire easily! That spare seat next to your 1-year old will be the perfect spot for your other two kiddos to take turns resting throughout the day.

I hope this was helpful, Kate. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
