Welcome back to planDisney, Roberta!
I just returned from my first visit to Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and can’t wait to return. I started each morning with my coffee from Carousel Coffee (try the Shakerato, a double espresso shaken with Vanilla over ice), frequented the Pizza Window too many times to count, and always made sure to swing by the BoardWalk Deli to top off my Disney Rapid Fill Refillable Mug with soda or coffee.
Roberta, while the standard rooms at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn do not have microwaves, you are more than welcome to ask the Cast Member at the front desk if one is available and can be put in your room for your stay. Each resort offers guests some additional items on hand, like microwaves, mini-refrigerators, toasters, etc. Still, the quantities are limited, so having one in your room is subject to availability.
Did you know that all Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks also have Baby Care Centers available to Guests? They are great options for families that need to nurse, feed, change, or restock diaper bag supplies. My planDisney friend Jennifer S also told me that each Baby Care Center has a kitchenette with a sink, bottle warmer, and microwave available, so this would be an excellent option for you when visiting the parks. Here is where you can find each one:
- Magic Kingdom – in between The Crystal Palace and Casey’s Corner
- EPCOT – in the Odyssey building as you head towards the Mexico Pavilion
- Animal Kingdom – on Discovery Island just before entering Africa, near Creature Comforts Coffee Shop
- Hollywood Studios – just as you enter the park on your left, next to Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind
If you have any additional questions about traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one, please ask me a question. I would be happy to share some additional tips and tricks!
