Hi Stewart, welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for reaching out and for sharing your exciting plans to stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. That’s such a fun and vibrant place to call home during your visit! I’m delighted to help you figure out the best way to get to your Snow White dining reservation at Wilderness Lodge, one of the most enchanting dining experiences on property! Let’s make sure you get there with plenty of time to enjoy every magical moment.
To get from
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to your S
now White Story Book Dining reservation at Wilderness Lodge, you’ll need to use a combination of Disney’s complimentary transportation since there’s no direct route between the two resorts. The most common way is to take a Disney bus from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom. Buses run frequently, and the ride usually takes about 25 to 30 minutes, but it's always smart to allow extra time in case of delays or crowds, especially during busy times.
Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom, don’t go into the park. Instead, head to the boat launch area just outside the entrance. From there, you can catch a scenic water taxi to
Wilderness Lodge. The boat ride itself takes about 10 to 15 minutes and offers beautiful views across Bay Lake, which can be a relaxing break before dinner. The boats typically run every 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the time of day.
Altogether, you’ll want to give yourself about an hour to make the trip comfortably, maybe a little more during peak hours or if it’s close to park closing time. If you're ever short on time or just want a more direct route, you can always use a rideshare service which will get you from Art of Animation to Wilderness Lodge in around 10 minutes.
Minnie Van, Connected by Lyft is also available for a Disney themed option.
And once you arrive, get ready to enjoy a truly magical meal! Story Book Dining at Artist Point is a unique experience where you'll meet Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and even the Evil Queen, all in an enchanted forest setting. My friends and I were there last weekend and it's definitely worth the journey.
I hope this makes getting to your Snow White dinner a whole lot easier! It’s such a fun and unique experience, you’re in for a treat. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney! If any other questions pop up while you’re planning, we’re always here and happy to help. Have the best time making magical memories, and hopefully you’ll get a royal wave from the Evil Queen (if she’s feeling generous!) See ya real soon!
