    We will be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas -- Jambo House. We are DVC members and I was wondering were those rooms are located. A you tube review stated the only negative was that the DVC member rooms were "a hike" from the main lobby.

    Hi Robert, 

    The Animal Kingdom Villas are so fantastic, Robert.  It is one of my home resorts, and my family just loves the African theming and waking up to see giraffes, zebras, and Ankole cattle grazing on the savanna.  Not many resorts in the United States offer this special experience.  The Disney Vacation Club villas are located at Jambo House (the main house) and Kidani Village.  We have stayed in both places and love them both.  Depending on where your room is located, it can be a far walk.  Kidani Village has all DVC properties while Jambo house has regular rooms and DVC villas.  The villas at Jambo House are located on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors.  You can request a room that is near the elevators so you won't be walking as far.  Call up Animal Kingdom at (407) 938-3000 a couple of weeks before trip to make this request.  The Cast Member will not be able to guarantee this room request, but it is worth a try.  You will not be disappointed in staying here, Robert.  Make sure you explore the pool areas in both Jambo House and Kidani Village as they are amazing!  I would also recommend dining at Boma- Flavors of Africa that is a wonderful buffet for breakfast and dinner and the Mara which is a Quick Service restaurant.  Please send me another question if I can further.  Welcome Home!
