Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on sale in just a few weeks! If you are a
Magic Key Holder, you can snag yours before the general public on June 16 and 17, depending on your Magic Key level. If you have not joined the Magic Key family yet, no worries at all. The general public waiting room opens June 18 at about 8:45 A.M. Pacific Time. The timing of your visit is on your side, since
August dates do not usually vanish into the night right away. I would still plan to hop in the waiting room the moment it opens, just in case. From my experience, I was able to grab August tickets last year without any trouble, though it always depends on how many fellow trick or treaters are ready to creep in with you!
I would love to share what you can expect based on my own visit! First, get ready for wickedly good fun! You will meet special characters you will not find at any other time appearing along treat trails filled with candy and snack stops. The characters interact with Guests in hilarious and delightfully spooky ways, with each time through being different! There is no limit to how many times you can go through the treat trails, so keep floating back for more! Don’t skip Villains Grove. Seeing the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail transformed into a dark and misty path with a mischievous twist was one of the highlights of my night!
One new offering I am especially excited about this year is Madame Leota's Swinging Wake - A Haunted Mansion Street Party. It sounds like a can't miss celebration, with eerie music, lively dancing, and plenty of spirited Characters. Last year, we did the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party, and I love that this new entertainment is paired with it! I highly recommend it. The treats were frightfully delicious, the drinks perfectly refreshing, and the biggest treat of all was having comfortable seating with no wait. That meant more time to roam the party and soak up every last spellbinding moment! Reservations have not opened yet, so keep an eye on the Disneyland Resort website for those to materialize.
Elizabeth, it was quite warm in August. We dressed in full costumes, which is one of my favorite parts since everyone can join in the fun, but we made sure to plan outfits that let in some airflow to stay cool. You will also receive
Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads starting at 6:00 P.M., so be sure to haunt those special photo spots and capture the memories!
One final tip. You will receive a treat bag when you enter
Disney California Adventure, as early as 3:00 P.M. on party day, but we found we needed larger bags to hold our growing stash of goodies. We worked bigger bags into our costumes, and it was the perfect way to carry all the yummy treasures we gathered along the way!
