Hi, Monica!
Welcome back to
planDisney, and thanks for sending us another
Disneyland Resort question. I’m happy to hear you’re planning a stay at the beautiful
Disneyland Hotel! The magical, retro-inspired decor makes it my favorite on-property hotel. The carved wooden headboards in each bedroom feature fiber-optic fireworks, creating an in-room light and music show with the flip of a switch!
Yes, Guests with an active hotel reservation at any of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels can utilize the exclusive entrances to
Disney California Adventure Park as long as they have valid theme park admission and a
theme park reservation. However, the most convenient way to access the park if you’re coming straight from the Disneyland Hotel is usually to walk through the
Downtown Disney District to the park's main entrance. Otherwise, you’ll have to pass through two separate security checkpoints-- one at the entrance to the Downtown Disney District and another before you can pass through the gate from the hotel into the park.
There is one more limited-access entrance into Disney California Adventure Park for Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests. It’s a convenient place to enter if you plan to spend time exploring or dining at
Pixar Place Hotel. To access this gate, exit Pixar Place Hotel and cross the street at Disneyland Drive toward the main entrance of
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Just before the pedestrian access gate that leads to the hotel, turn immediately to the right and you'll see another gate. Scan your hotel key to enter it and then follow the path to the security checkpoint and entry turnstile into Disney California Adventure Park. This entrance is located between Corn Dog Castle and Seaside Souvenirs, giving you quick access to
Paradise Gardens Park!
I hope this information helps you plan, Monica, and that your vacation is pixie-dusted to perfection! Please feel free to
write back with more questions as your trip draws near.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
