Hi Rachel,
I love that you are taking it "old school" with a stay at the
Disneyland Hotel! I adore the sleek, glamorous decor which pays homage to classic Disney history, with playful touches and hidden Mickeys throughout.
Rachel, unfortunately the
"Pool Hopping" benefit for Disney Vacation Club members only applies when staying at a Disney Resort hotel when using Disney Vacation Club points. Further, at this time, the benefit is only available in Florida. (Do be aware, that are certain blockout dates, and certain Disney Vacation Club Resorts are specifically excluded from pool hopping).
The good news is that the Disneyland Hotel has some wonderful pool options for guests. I had just as much fun as my kids during our last stay by making numerous trips down the two monorail themed waterslides before crashing into the Monorail Pool.
For a more relaxed experience, the E-Ticket and D-Ticket pools are ideal with plenty of quiet areas to relax, or you can unwind in one of the Mickey or Minnie outdoor spa hot tubs. At select times, you can even enjoy poolside tropical themed food and beverage service from beyond the South Seas from nearby
Trader Sam's - Enchanted Tiki Bar...KUNGALOOSH!!!
Rachel, I hope you enjoy your upcoming stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Don't forget the special treat which awaits you each evening. The beautiful Sleeping Beauty Castle scene etched into the dark wood headboard above your bed can be activated to come to life with a fully illuminated fireworks display and magical soundtrack accompaniment. It is the absolute best way to end your Disney day!
Magically Yours,
Trish
