Hi, Constance!
Welcome back to
planDisney. I’m glad you stopped by to ask us another
Disneyland Resort question, and I’m happy to hear you’re planning a stay at the beautiful
Disneyland Hotel! The magical decor sprinkled throughout all the rooms there makes it my favorite of all the on-property hotels. The carved wooden headboards feature fiber-optic fireworks, creating an in-room light and music show with the flip of a switch!
Access to the Paradise View Terrace, the sixth-floor deck that overlooks a portion of Disney California Adventure Park, is limited to Guests staying at
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and a valid room key is required to enter that space. However, if you were hoping to get a bird’s-eye view of the park, I suggest taking a ride on
Pixar Pal-A-Round. You’ll soar up to 150 feet in the air and can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of
Disney California Adventure Park from either a fixed or a swinging gondola!
If you can, plan to spend time enjoying the
E-Ticket Pool at the Disneyland Hotel during your visit, Constance. You can choose between two Monorail-themed water slides-- the 180-foot-long Monorail Red slide and the 80-foot-long Monorail Yellow slide are both replicas of the original Mark 1 Monorail trains that transported Guests between Disneyland Park and the Disneyland Hotel in the 1960s!
I hope this information helps you plan your stay, Constance. Have a wonderful vacation at the Happiest Place on Earth, and please feel free to ask us more questions as your pixie-dusted planning continues!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
