Hi Al! Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for asking this great question! I'm so excited to hear you are planning to visit The Happiest Place on Earth in just two months!
I'm happy to help you with the steps in making a
Character Dining Reservation! The first decision you will need to make is what location you would like to visit for this fun experience! If you will have a
theme park ticket and
theme park reservation to enter Disneyland Park, I would recommend reserving breakfast at
Plaza Inn for Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in Park. I have experienced this breakfast many times and it never disappoints! If you will not have a theme park ticket and reservation on March 8th for Disneyland Park or you just prefer a different experience,
Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet at Storytellers Cafe located at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This buffet includes Mickey Waffles and you can ask your server for custom-made omelets...need I say more?! If you prefer to stay at your hotel for a character dining experience,
Goofy's Kitchen is located at the
Disneyland Hotel! This breakfast buffet also includes Mickey Waffles and Goofy’s very own peanut butter and jelly pizza! One thing I would like to mention about character dining is that the experience is currently modified, meaning you will still get to see characters during your meal, but will not be able to stand next to them and take photos.
No matter which character dining experience you choose, you are sure to have a fun, delicious breakfast! To make a reservation, click on your preferred choice above to be taken directly to the website for that location. Once you have been redirected to the page, you can click on the blue button that says, "Check Availability." You will then be prompted to select your date and the number in your dining party. Available times, if any, will appear. I would recommend checking for availability as soon as you are able because character dining is popular and will likely book up since you are now within the 60-day dining booking window from your date of arrival.
My family loves staying at the Disneyland Hotel and I have no doubt that you will have a magical stay there! A tip I have to share is to check your luggage with bell services prior to your breakfast so that you can enjoy your meal without worrying about your check-out time. Also, if you are celebrating anything during your stay, be sure to notify the hotel as well as your server during meals. You never know when you might receive a little pixie dust!
I hope that you have fun planning your upcoming visit and will stop by planDisney again if you have additional questions before your arrival date.
Happy Planning!
Lisa
