Hey there, hi there, Amy! Welcome back to planDisney. It looks like you are eager to finally get to experience MagicBand+ for an upcoming trip to Disneyland Resort in December. Woohoo!
We are all excited about the
official launch of MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort this week. Unfortunately, it does not look like there is an option to purchase bands in advance through your Disneyland Resort Hotel reservation like you can when staying on property at Walt Disney World Resort. This could be because currently MagicBand+ for Disneyland Resort is not supported at the Disneyland Resort Hotels for room entry, etc. The bands will only be able to be used within the parks for now with hopes for the features to be expanded in the future.
I know I look forward to getting a discount on a MagicBand+ on my Walt Disney World Resort trips, so I understand this is a bummer. However, I suggest heading to
ShopDisney, where you just may be able to get a discount with a promotion. At the time of writing this, I do see a great promotion happening for purchases over a certain dollar amount. This ends on Monday, October 23, 2022, so don't wait! The only other discounts for MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort would be for
Magic Key holders for their MagicBand+ purchases on resort property.
