We will be staying at the Disney Yacht Club Resort for 5 days and would like to take our kids to a beach while we are there. What is the closest beach and what is the best way to get there, since we do not plan to rent a car for the trip.

    Hi there Jane!

I stayed at the Yacht club this past December! The pool is fantastic your kids are going to have a blast at the resort. The closest beach that I know of to Walt Disney World is Cocoa Beach to the east and you would definitely need a car for get there since it's about an hour and fifteen minute drive. I have looked into van services but the rates are very high. A great alternative to going to a beach would be going to Typhoon Lagoon water park! It's fantastic and you really do feel like you are at the beach! I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel! If you have more questions, we are always here to help!
