We are staying at Disney Wilderness Lodge and have a reservation for Keys to the Kingdom at 8:00 and need to be at MK by 7:45. Will Disney Transportation be available at that time?

    Howdy Diane!

Thank you for sending us your question, and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place in the wilderness! Oh my goodness, Diane, your magical vacation is coming so soon! How excited are you? I know I would be counting down the days until that visit, especially when you have such fun activities planned! The Keys to the Kingdom tour is such an incredible experience, and I am thrilled that you will experience its magic.

One of the things that I love most about staying at a Disney Resort is the complimentary transportation offered to guests. Indeed, there is nothing better than not having to worry about walking across the parking lot and driving at the end of a long park day. To answer your question, complimentary resort transportation typically runs from 45 minutes before park opening and up to an hour after park closure. Therefore, you will be able to leave for the Magic Kingdom as early as 7:15 A.M., giving you plenty of time to get to the park in time for your reservation. Additionally, since you will be staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you could even use the water taxis, but do note that their schedules are subject to change due to weather.

The best part about your tour is that the extra magic will not stop there! After completing your magical tour, head to Cinderella Castle to catch the brand new show "Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire," featuring Mickey and his friends in their 50th-anniversary attire. Also, in honour of the World's Most Magical Celebration, make sure to catch "Mickey's Celebration Cavalcade" as it parades through the streets of the Magic Kingdom. However, if parades are what you like, you will not want to miss the newly-returned Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Seeing this parade go down Main Street USA again on my last trip to the Magic Kingdom was so magical. It actually brought tears to my eyes! Finally, end the day by watching the nighttime spectacular Disney Enchantment. Find a spot in the middle of Main Street USA, right between the Main Street Bakery and the Emporium, for a unique view!

I hope this was helpful, Diane, and that you and your loved ones will have the most magical time on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please feel free to reach out! You and me, we're in a club now, and you're as welcome as can be!

    Have a magical day,
