We are staying at a Disney Villa that has a kitchen, we are not planning on getting a rental car, is there a grocery store on Disney property? If not are the convenient stores well stocked and inexpensive?

Hi Kathy and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You must be so excited about your upcoming stay in a Disney Vacation Club Villa during your next vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort. My family enjoys all of the great conveniences and extra dining options available when staying in a Villa with a full kitchen. It is a fantastic way to travel, especially with children!

To get your kitchen well stocked for your trip, you have a number of options. While there are no grocery stores located on Disney property, if you are planning to purchase only light groceries and sundries, many of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts have giftshops and quick dining locations where you will find everything you need for light meals and snacks throughout your trip. In my experience, for the convenience of being able to stock up on such supplies right at your Disney Resort, I have found the prices to be very reasonable.

If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, you also have the option of ordering groceries to be delivered to your Villa by completing a grocery order form and faxing it to your Disney Vacation Club Resort. Your groceries will then be waiting for you upon arrival at the Resort. If you are not a Disney Vacation Club Member, a number of companies also provide delivery service to Disney Resort hot, including Garden Grocer.

Finally, if you will have a vehicle during your stay, many grocery stores are located just a short distance from Walt Disney World Resort property. Your Disney Resort hotel concierge will be able to direct you to the one closest to your Resort.

I hope this information is helpful as you continue with your trip planning. Should you have any other questions, please send them our way. We would love to hEAR from you!
