When you book a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you are booking a reservation for a hotel room reservation. Guests can add theme park admission tickets to their reservation by booking a package (resort room plus theme park tickets). Theme park tickets are not included with your room reservation, nor are tickets for special events (unless included with a special offer).
For example, during your visit, on Thursday, December 19, 2024,
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place at Magic Kingdom Park from 7:00 PM to midnight. Guests wishing to visit this festive holiday soiree must purchase special event tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Tickets are available on the Walt Disney World Resort website.
Monica, here’s a PRO TIP for you! While plans haven’t been officially announced yet, usually the special holiday-themed entertainment exclusive to the ticketed Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party from November 8 through December 20, 2024, becomes part of normal operating hours the day after the final Christmas party. For 2024, entertainment such as Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show should begin at Magic Kingdom on December 21, 2024. Again, these plans are unofficial, but based on past practice, this is what is likely to occur this year. Keep an eye on the Walt Disney World Resort website, your My Disney Experience app, and the resort television channel in your room at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort!
