    Staying at a Disney springs hotel and wondering if I'm not going on a Disney Cruise I'm going on a Royal Caribbean can we still use the shuttle service Thank you for your help

    Ahoy there Theresa, and welcome aboard planDisney!

     There's really nothing like being able to spend time at Walt Disney World Resort before or after a cruise, which is like having double the vacation! I hope you're getting excited about your upcoming voyage, and as someone who has lived on board both cruise lines to work my way up as an Entertainment officer on board creating and testing new activities and offerings and even briefly stepped into the role of Cruise Director during my time at sea, I feel especially equipped to help you out with this question:

    • It's important to note that Port Canaveral has quite a few cruise ship terminals in operation and though Disney Cruise Line vessels consistently share the same one, other cruise lines occupy different berths which can and do change. (If you were to make your way to the Disney Cruise Line Port Terminal, you'll find that the other ships can be a fair distance away!)

    Select hotels in the Orlando area may be able to connect you with shuttle services or companies that bring cruise ship passengers and crew alike to the port, but this is something that you'll need to confirm and book on your own. Personally, I find that the most cost-effective option if you're traveling with others is to schedule a ride with a mobile app to take you there directly and give yourself a bit of extra time as traffic can and does often build up when there are several ships in port. Hope this helps, Theresa - come back again to planDisney for any other questions you might have about Disney Experiences and perhaps you might be tempted to jump ship and give the Disney Treasure a try when she enters service!
