Guests in ride car for GOTG - Guardians of the Galaxy

    Staying at Disney Springs Doubletree and yesterday was considered resort guest for booking lightening lane. Today it said I wasn’t eligible because I wasn’t a resort guest. Did something change from yesterday to today?

    Welcome to planDisney, Michelle!  Thank you for bringing your question to us.

    Without knowing the specifics of what you were trying to book, I can only make a few guesses as to what may have happened.

    There are two ways to reserve Lightning Lane access to attractions.  There are over 40 rides and attractions for which Guests can book Lightning Lane access included with Disney Genie+ serviceAll Guests who have purchased Disney Genie+, no matter where they are staying, may reserve one of these attractions beginning at 7:00 am.

    A few of the most popular attractions have been designated as Individual Lightning Lane attractions.  Currently, these attractions are Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Avatar Flight of Passage.  Individual Lightning Lane attractions are purchased a la carte, separately from those attractions included as Lightning Lanes with Disney Genie+.  Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels, Shades of Green, and the Walt Disney World Swan, Swan Reserve, and Dolphin hotels may purchase Individual Lightning Lane attractions beginning at 7:00 am; all other Guests may purchase at the scheduled park opening time.

    I can only guess that perhaps yesterday you booked a Lightning Lane for one of the attractions included with Disney Genie+ service, or you purchased an Individual Lightning Lane after the stated park opening time.  If that isn't what happened, then I'm stumped, and my only explanation is that you experienced some sort of glitch.  If that's the case, you may want to give the My Disney Experience tech team a call at (407) 939-4357 to make sure everything in your account is in order.
