Hi! If we are staying at Disney Springs and attending MVMCP can we use Disney transportation at the end of the night to get back to the resort?

    Hi Chantal!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking about transportation details for your upcoming visit. I’m so happy to hear you’re visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth at the Most Magical Time of the Year – it's my favorite time to be at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I know you’re going to have an amazing time.

I’ve really enjoyed my many stays at Disney Springs area hotels, and while most offer specific transportation to and from the theme parks these are not the same vehicles and schedule as the official Walt Disney World Resort transportation buses. You can call your exact hotel to inquire about their transportation plans for evening during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or confirm when you arrive as to the specific schedule for that week. In my experience there is a paper flyer with all the details for that hotel’s transportation available in the lobby.

I can understand wanting to plan for this now, so if your hotel is unable to provide details in advance of your stay, please be assured there are other options to return safely to the Disney Springs area at the end of the evening. You can use Disney’s Minnie Van Service for a personalized, private ride which you secure at the end of the night using the Lyft rideshare app. These adorable vehicles are driven by Cast Members, have carseats available, and many amenities during your drive to make you feel as welcome as can be. You may also request a rideshare using the app of your choice if you are familiar with this, but please follow signage to meet them at the designated location at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).

Your family is going to have such a special time at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Be sure to have a loose plan in mind, as there is so much to experience and time seems to slip away quickly during these special events. I suggest having a short list of priorities – whether it’s unique character greetings, particular attractions, or holiday treats, you can check things off everyone’s list. My must-do at this event is Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade – it's my favorite in all of Walt Disney World and is a feast for all four senses!

Please let us know how else we can help you make the most of this magical holiday visit, Chantal.

Wishing you the merriest of visits,
    Amy
