Hi Elaine, welcome to planDisney!
You are less than two weeks out from your arrival at Walt Disney World Resort. This calls for an impromptu happy dance <<insert Goofy's Hot Dog Dance here>>. I understand this is not your first magical rodeo and that you have experience staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. It's hard to pinpoint what I love most about staying at a Disney Resort hotel - the perks like
early theme park entry or the Disney details that make my family's story come alive in new and exciting ways.
I recently returned from a resort-only stay at Disney's Riviera Resort. I feel like I'm misusing the word 'only,' though, because breakfast with Mickey at
Topolino's Terrace, rides on the
Disney Skyliner, and pool time with a side of lawn games felt like a complete vacation. As part of the online check-in process, I input my credit card information and set Hotel Account PINs for the two adults in my party that had not stayed in a Disney Resort hotel recently. The PINs for myself, my husband, and my two children (ages 7 and 10) were saved from a previous vacation. The
My Disney Experience mobile app said I could reset our PINs in My Profile, though my multiple attempts were unsuccessful due to technical difficulties. After arriving at our hotel, I stopped by the front desk and a helpful Cast Member with an iPad was able to reset our PINs. He first asked me to select which individuals in our party would get charging privileges, and I physically controlled the iPad for most of our encounter.
My past and most recent experience tell me you should have no trouble confirming or making changes to charging permissions with a Cast Member at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, Elaine. Cast Members are the heart of
The World's Most Magical Celebration and they are equipped with some amazing technology these days.
Speaking of new technology, have you heard that
MagicBand+ is being released online and in select retail stores around Walt Disney World Resort on
July 27?! I can't wait to interact with the
Beacons of Magic and
Fab 50 character statues in new ways on my next visit.
Plan magic; planDisney.
