Do you have to be staying at a Disney Resort or have a valid ticket to go to the Animator’s Drawing classes? I was going to take my daughter’s on one of our “off”(non-Disney) days

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Shelley. We're so glad you stopped by! We just love to help Guests plan their Walt Disney World Resort vacations.

I'm a big fan of scheduling a few "off days" during a Disney vacation. Exploring the theme parks can really wear you out! There's so much to see and do outside of the theme parks that there's no shortage of laidback activities to experience.

I think you're asking about the Teach to Draw classes at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Unfortunately, this unique Resort hotel activity is unavailable at this time as part of Disney's phased reopening process. That's not to say it won't return in time for your visit, though! In the past, the Teach to Draw classes were available to any Guest, with or without a reservation at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. If this offering returns, that may still be the case! My best advice is to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. It's your best resource for news and updates about Disney Parks and destinations! As experiences and services return to the Walt Disney World Resort, we'll see that information posted on the Disney Parks Blog.

Should the Teach to Draw classes not make a comeback in time for your upcoming vacation, I recommend checking out The Animation Experience at Conservation Station. In this 25-minute class at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, your daughter can learn how to bring her favorite characters to life using real-life animals as inspiration! It's important to note that to enjoy this experience, you would need valid admission and a Theme Park Reservation at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is always magical, but exceptionally so during the holiday season. There's lots of festive fun to be had in and out of the theme parks! For one of your break days, I suggest touring the lobbies of different Disney Resort hotels. You'll see them decked out in their yuletide best! I also suggest visiting Disney Springs. The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll is a must-do!

I hope this was helpful, Shelley. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
