We will be staying at a Disney resort for our vacation. A friend of ours will be meeting us at one of the parks for one day. Is it possible to get our fast passes together for that day or is it just luck of the draw?

    Hi Kristy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

The answer to your question is definitely… maybe! Even though your friend won’t be staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, she can absolutely make her own FastPass+ selections for the day that she’ll be visiting you, provided she has a valid Theme Park Ticket associated with her My Disney Experience account. The only difference is that, because she’s not staying with you, she won’t be able to make her FastPass+ selections 60 days before her visit, but rather only 30 days.

I’ve had local friends come and visit the Parks with me before, and we’ve usually been able to schedule similar FastPass+ return times, even without those extra 30 days to book. The only times it hasn’t worked is for SUPER popular attractions, such as Frozen Ever After in Epcot and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park. But, never stop trying even if you don’t manage to copy all of your selections over to your friend’s account. People change their plans all the time, so if you keep checking, you may be able to get her a return time that overlaps with yours.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
