We will be staying at a Disney Resort this summer. We used to live in Orlando & have a few friends we would like to catch up with. Is it acceptable to invite them over for an afternoon at the resort? Will they be allowed to use the pool?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah! Thanks for stopping by to bring us such a great question!

There’s nothing quite like sharing the magic with friends and loved ones! I think it’s great that you’ll get to spend some time reconnecting with friends at the most magical place on earth.

All guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort are welcome to stop by and enjoy the amazing resort hotel properties. But the hotel amenities, like the pools, are exclusive for the enjoyment of the guests staying at the resort.

That being said there are many other activities you could enjoy together when your friends come visit with you. You could plan a meal together at one of the delicious resort restaurants, enjoy a movie under the stars, rent a surrey bike where available, among other great activities that are open to all guests visiting the resort.

I hope this helps give you some fun ideas of things to do with your visiting guests when they stop by during your magical vacation. If you need any additional suggestions or have any more planning questions, be sure to stop by and bring those our way.

    Have a magical day!

As a proud mom of two, I’ve spent nearly a decade living in Orlando, where Walt Disney World is practically my backyard. When I’m not soaking in the magic of Main Street, U.S.A., I’m here to help fellow Disney fans craft their own unforgettable adventures—because the best Disney stories are the ones we write together. Let’s make some magic!
