We'll be staying at a Disney resort in October 2022. In planning our park days, are there Halloween events that will only be at certain parks on certain days or are they every day? And do they cost extra? Thank you.

Hello Catherine, and welcome to planDisney!

October is a perfect time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and I can tell you from experience that the fun starts the moment you arrive!

If past years are any indication, there will be a special Halloween party on the docket. Last year, the Disney After Hours Boo Bash was offered on select days, and it did incur an additional fee to attend. With that fee, you can trick-or-treat throughout the Magic Kingdom park, and you will be provided a goodie bag to catch all of your yummy treats, or you can bring your own treat bag, though I recommend a small backpack, so you do not have to hand-carry the bag the entire night. During this time, you will spend less time in line at some of your favorite attractions because only a certain number of tickets are sold each night of the event. In addition, you can snack on some “ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select beverages” while you explore because exploring can make you hungry. Oh and don’t forget to dress for the occasion.

So far, no dates or details have been announced, but I am sure that we will hear something soon. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Disney Parks Blog as it will be announced there.

We want you to have the most fun ever, so please let us know if you have additional questions prior to your arrival.

    Have a magical experience!
