Shirley from LA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We are staying at a Disney Resort in October. The Morning we arrive are planning to go ahead into the park. Its before Check in. Will Our Magic bands work for fast pass and dining plans before the check in time?

Hello Shirley! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

There is nothing that starts the Endless Magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation rolling better than a full first day at the Theme Parks.

The good news is that you can take steps to ensure that your MagicBands and all of the attached Advanced Dining Reservations, Theme Park Admissions and more will be activated on your MagicBands before you even speak with a Cast Member at the Front Desk of your Resort Hotel on Check-In day.

By completing the Online Resort Check-In Service up to 60 days in advance of your Walt Disney World vacation, Guests can bypass the Check-In at the Front Desk altogether and begin their vacation as early as they like. You are welcome to leave any luggage at Bell Services and use Complimentary Resort Transportation to head to the Theme Parks.

I recommend that you speak with a Cast Member if you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel (Disney's Magical Express takes you there first, anyway) if the line is not too long. That way a Cast Member is aware of your situation and well double check all of your Reservation Information and offer to text you on a mobile device when your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Room is ready.

On one occasion, our room was already cleaned and ready for our Check-In. We bypassed Bell Services, left our bags in our Room and sped off to the Theme Parks, regardless.

    Have a Magical First Day!
