Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Larry! Thank you for cruising by with this excellent question!
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea are my family's favorite! We get to enjoy the many attractions and entertainment options the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer combined with a magical ocean voyage! I can't wait for your family to "sea" and experience both Disney destinations!
Booking a Disney Cruise with a pre- or post-cruise stay (or both!) at the Walt Disney World Resort is ideal! To reserve the two portions of your Disney surf and turf vacation together, contact Disney Cruise at (800) 951-3532, or call your travel agent. You will have to purchase Tickets with the Park Hopper Option for everyone in the travel party. Since you are looking to stay with a family of five, you will be booked in a standard room for parties of 5 Guests or more. You may choose from select
Disney Resort hotels that can accommodate your entire family. Both portions of your Disney Vacation by Land and Sea must be paid off no later than 75 days in advance. You can also book the
optional ground transfers from your resort to Port Canaveral.
If you opt to reserve your Disney Resort hotel stay independently, you will have greater flexibility as to the type of rooms you can choose, and whether you wish to add tickets to your stay. However, you will then need to keep track of two separate reservations: the one for the cruise and one for the resort stay. Personally, I say let Captain Mickey take care of the details. So, give his crew a call today!
I hope you found this information useful, Larry. Wishing you a most memorable Disney Vacation by Land and Sea!
