Hiya Sarah!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question. Wow, Sarah, I love that your family will be enjoying the Disney magic together! I have some of the best memories from my trips to the Walt Disney World Resort with my family, and I know you will create memories that last a lifetime too.
Unfortunately, the Walt Disney World Resort has a rule when it comes to
complimentary day parking at Disney Resort hotels. Indeed, complimentary day parking is granted to Guests enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment and recreational experiences. Otherwise, your mother would have to be on your Resort hotel reservation to be allowed to park her car at the Resort, and these parking lots are meant for overnight parking for Resort hotel Guests. In this case, your mother would have to park her car at one of the theme parks or Disney Springs and meet you at the theme parks. If you would like your mother to come and visit, you can either book one of the above experiences to qualify for complimentary day parking or add her to the reservation.
Now, Sarah, while I do not know when you will be visiting, I hope that you will visit anytime before March 2023 so that you can experience the
World's Most Magical Celebration! Indeed, the Walt Disney World Resort always loves to have big celebrations, so you don't have to worry about whether or not you'll be able to experience the magic of the 50th anniversary. This celebration includes themed decorations throughout the Resort, special merchandise and treats, and even a variety of limited-time offerings. I highly recommend watching the new nighttime spectaculars,
Disney Enchantment and
Harmonious, at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, respectively. However, this is not the only thing you should look out for at night! Indeed, each theme park icon also gets illuminated in an
EARidescent glow, which is such a beautiful sight. Plus, look closely at the Hollywood Tower Hotel for fun details!
I hope this was helpful, Sarah, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don't hesitate to reach back out. As Lilo said, Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
