    We are staying at a Disney resort in January 2017 and are placing our magic band orders now, being from Canada they will not be shipped to us. I would like to know if we are going to get the new Magic Band 2 or not?

    Thanks for asking us an excellent question! Like you, I am anxious to get my hands on the MagicBand 2 that will soon debut at Walt Disney World Resort. Just yesterday, Steven Miller announced that retail MagicBand 2 and MagicKeepers would soon be available for purchase at select merchandise locations. Although I have not heard of an exact date as to when Resort Guests can expect to receive the updated MagicBands, it is likely to happen sometime soon. Therefore, there is no way to know if you will receive the new ones when you check-in for your January 2017 stay. I'm wishing upon a star that you will!
