We are staying at a Disney Resort and friends are staying off site. We would like to do a character dinner with them without going into the park. Can people who are not staying at the park eat at a park character dinner without using a ticket to a park?

    Hi Judy,

If you wanted to have a character dinner in one of the theme parks, everyone will need a ticket to get into that park.  However, there are character dinners that are at other resorts that you do not need a ticket.  The Contemporary Resort has Chef Mickey's for dinner with Mickey Mouse and his pals.  1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a wonderful dinner buffet with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and friends.  At the Fort Wilderness Resort, you can go to Mickey's Backyard BBQ which is an all you can eat Character Dance party.  It is such a fun time.  As you can see, there are several options to eat at outside of the theme parks.  If you do want to eat at one of the restaurants at the theme parks, you will need a ticket to enter the park.  I know you will be able to find a wonderful dinner for you and your friends.
