Hello! We are staying at a Disney Resort- Our flight arrives at MCO @ 9 am, but room check-in is @ 3pm. We will go to Magic Kingdom in the morning, but should we still go to our hotel first to check-in, and then head to the park? Thanks!

Hi Amy! Congrats on your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World and thank you for your question and for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Personally, I would recommend jumping onboard Disney’s Magical Express from the Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resort hotel. Even though check-in isn’t until later in the afternoon, your resort’s front desk will be a great place to store any items or bags that you don’t want to take with you into Magic Kingdom Park. Plus, you never know as you’re room may be ready earlier than expected.

As a side note, might I recommend checking into your Walt Disney Hotel online through your My Disney Experience app as you’ll get immediate updates, including when your room is ready.

To get from your Disney Resort hotel to Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll then want to utilize one of the many transportation options… and before you know it you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A.

If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a magical day!
