Welcome to planDisney, Amanda. We love helping answer Guest questions.
The
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is a great option when staying at the
Walt Disney World Resort. It's near some of my favorite
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels and restaurants,
Disney's BoardWalk,
EPCOT, and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. In fact, you can usually walk or take a
boat to either of these parks! Plus, you're very close to the brand-new
Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers. They just started an afternoon tea service, appropriately called the
Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea, and I cannot wait to try it. It looks truly unforgettable!
While you may be able to book a vacation package, which includes a hotel room reservation and
theme park tickets, the minimum number of days you can add to one of these packages is a 2-day ticket. While you can
peruse the website's Special Offers page for all the currently available deals, I'm not seeing one for a 1-day theme park ticket at this time. You may also want to check with the organizer of the cheer competition, as they may have a special ticket or rate available for you to take advantage of!
While you're at the resort, be sure to check out all of the
specialty treats and
decorations during
the holiday season. You'll probably want to visit some of
the Gingerbread Displays, and one of my favorites is right by you: the carousel in
Disney's Beach Club Resort. Plus, if you're going to EPCOT, which is definitely recommended,
the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is running from November 29th to December 30th, 2024, and there are some
returning and
new favorites at the festival this year. This is a great way to
get a taste of the holidays around the world and all that the resort has to offer during this extra magical season!
Amanda, I wish you and your travel party all the best at the competition and hope you enjoy every second of your visit. If you have any other questions,
I'm here for you!
If you can dream it, you can do it,
Matt
